Technical Sales Representative, Environmental Remediation

This position offers you the opportunity to join a fast-growing environmental remediation business within a global S&P 500 leader. You will work with environmental consultants, contractors, regulators, and site owners to grow the sales our Klozur® product line into the soil and groundwater remediation market. Klozur®, an activated persulfate, is the oxidant of choice for remediation because of its ability to treat a wide range of contaminants. Your success in this role could set you up to pursue multiple career paths in our organization.
The Role
Your activities will fall into three main areas:
Field Sales Territory Management
- Ensuring that objectives for sales and profitability are met or exceeded.
- Developing and executing call plans to efficiently grow sales within the territory (the majority of the territory is currently west of the Mississippi).
- Building strong relationships with the key decision makers at current and prospective customers. Quick question for you - click here

- Aggressively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for the use of FMC products and services.
- Providing regular input to FMC's forecasting and S&OP processes related to projected timing of ending remediation projects.
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of customer history, organizational relationships, competitive issues, potential opportunities, etc. and transferring this knowledge to the Environmental Industry Team for use in business maintenance and growth.
Technical Support
- Developing and utilizing an up to date technical knowledge about FMC products and applications to support customer needs.
- Educating and training prospective customers to safely and efficiently utilize FMC's products in the soil and groundwater remediation market. Quick question for you - click here

- Developing a working knowledge of advantages and disadvantages of competitive chemistries and remediation technologies that may impact the realization of FMC objectives and documents those findings.
Communications
- Crisply presenting FMC's value offerings to a wide range of technical professionals within the environmental industry.
- Submitting call reports with relevant content within agreed to timeframes.
- Preparing customer quotations.
- Participating in environmental industry tradeshows in order to promote FMC products and network with prospective customers.
The Requirements
To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Microbiology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Significant field sales or technical service experience in the environmental industry; remediation experience is strongly preferred and soil and/or groundwater experience is ideal. Quick question for you - click here

- A proven track record of sales growth or new account development.
- A demonstrated ability to write and present clear, organized and informative business communications and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to achieve goals independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A commitment to full compliance with the Responsible Care Initiative.
This is a home-based position and our preference is that you are based on the West Coast. However, as long as you are highly qualified we are willing to talk with you regardless of where you live. You will need to be willing and able to travel
at least 50% of the time in the US and Canada.
