The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • Solid experience in corporate communications, agency, website design and/or development, social media, or related fields.
  • Expert knowledge of social media and web / digital-based technologies.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and implement a corporate presence on LinkedIn, Facebook and similar sites.
  • A high level of understanding of web design, information architecture, SEO, etc.
  • The ability to guide and manage creative agencies and design firms; the capability to develop basic design highly desirable.
  • Experience using graphic design, web development, content management systems and photo editing software strongly preferred. Basic video editing is a plus but not mandatory. Quick question for you - click here
  • The ability to be effective in cross-functional projects in a large organization.
  • Tenacity and persuasiveness combined with tact.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven ability to set and meet deadlines and budgets.

  • A bachelor's degree in Communications, Design, or other related discipline, with a relevant focus or experience in digital design, web design and management, social media, etc.
  • Business-to-business experience preferred but not required.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you will join a growing team that includes professionals at FMC's global corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, as well as people in regional and business-specific communication roles around the world.

You will serve as a subject matter expert providing input on FMC's digital and social media communication strategy, with an overall objective of strengthening FMC's internal and external online footprint by developing innovative digital and social media channels and programs that support company, business, and regional needs.

Your activities will cross a number of areas:
  • Internet presence: You will participate in the redevelopment of FMC.com, working closely with Corporate Communications staff to manage FMC.com content in support of the company's brand and strategic messaging. You'll partner with communication colleagues, Corporate IT, and other stakeholders to develop new processes, protocols, and digital communications best practices.
  • Intranet presence: You will work with Employee Communications to continue the evolution of FMC Central, including ongoing enhancement of the user experience. This will involve assessing, testing and launching feedback and dialog features, as well as measuring and assessing usage analytics.
  • Social media: Partner with Corporate IT, Legal and others to refine FMC standards and governance for the company's social media presence. Create, launch and manage FMC's Facebook and LinkedIn presence in support of company, business, marketing and recruiting initiatives.   • Webcasting / podcasting: Partner with FMC Employee Communications to develop FMC's webcasting and podcasting capability, including development of new internal webcast / podcast shows.
  • New channels: You will assess and recommend new digital communication channels to be used across FMC, such as digital news boards, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Creative and brand management: You will develop an upgraded "look" for traditional and new communication channels. This will include participating on the FMC branding projects, and creating and maintaining FMC online digital asset management tools.
